Http://www.expedia.com is the way to go for all misanthropes and other people dislikers. You can book a globe girthing trip without any other human intervention whatsoever.

For the more sociable http://www.starnetinc.com/eurorail/home.htm is the home of Online Travel. If you plan to travel by rail in Europe, your trip starts here. They also come up with marvelous fares on airlines you never thought you would fly on and may not have heard of. My latest trip with them was an excellent flight on Royal Jordanian. from NYC to Amsterdam and from there on to Paris, Nice, Milan and Florence on some real fast trains.

I was recently approached by the folks at http://www.hotelguide.com who claim to be the largest hotel listing in the universe with the possibility of reservations via email. They asked me for a link, and, fine guy that I am, I agreed. Let me know your experiences with this one

9/12/98-- I have added nine of the Eurostartups airlines as listed in the current issue of BusinessWeek. Most reservation systems don't list them.
